As part of our efforts to surprise gift givers this season with our inspiring holiday assortment, we’ve opened a discreetly-branded pop-up shop, playfully called “Jacques Penné.”
Located in New York City’s trendy SoHo neighborhood, the holiday boutique will be open today and tomorrow, featuring an array of stylish gift ideas for everyone on your list and, and, as part of “The JCPenney Holiday Challenge,” all guaranteed to cost less than you think. The best part? All proceeds from “Jacques Penné” will benefit The JCPenney Foundation, our 501(c)3 public charity supporting programs dedicated to serving underserved youth.
“I constantly have people come up to me when I’m wearing JCPenney, and they’re incredibly surprised by the level of style. And when they hear the price, they’re always flabbergasted! “ said Chief Marketing Officer Marci Grebstein. “Beyond advertising, we wanted to find a way for shoppers to experience this sense of discovery.”
Along with exclusive styles from JCPenney design partners Michael Strahan and Libby Edelman , the pop-up shop is made up of eight specially-curated and shoppable collections: Shine, Tech, Be Well, Cozy, Toys, Festive Fashions and Holiday as well as picks from celebrity Nicole Richie, who teamed up with JCPenney to take the “JCPenney Holiday Challenge.”
Over the next two days, the pop-up shop will also host meet-and-greets with actress Laura Marano, ”We Wore What” fashion blogger Danielle Bernstein and YouTube stars Brooklyn and Bailey. Hosting meet-ups with these key influencers offers an opportunity to introduce their fans to our brand and convert them into loyal JCPenney shoppers.
While the New York City based pop-up shop will only be open for two days, we’ll extend the reach of the physical “Jacques Penné” pop-up shop with a 360 degree, mobile-friendly virtual experience that will live online at jacquespennejcp.com now through Jan. 7, offering an opportunity for everyone across the country to experience “Jacques Penné”
